Anxiety and Depression are the emotional disorders of two different kinds. Anxiety is a type of an emotional disturbance caused due to imbalances in the body. Depression, on the other hand, is a psychological problem caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. In both the conditions, a person becomes lethargic and his or her appetite decreases.

Anxiety and Depression has a variety of symptoms. Feeling of hopelessness, negativity, persistent sadness, feeling of guilt, worthlessness, lack of concentration and decreased energy levels are the common symptoms of Depression. The most common symptoms of Anxiety are worrying about daily problems, emotional tremors, feeling of dying, dizziness, light headedness, nausea, breathing difficulty and fear of loosing control.

Anxiety and Depression are quite common among people. Usually, these types of disorders are seen in adults above 45 years of age. Anxiety and Depression are more common in women than men. But they cast adverse effects on both the genders. Women suffering from anxiety and depression can become disabled. While, men suffering from anxiety and depression usually commits suicide.

There are different types of Anxieties and Depressions.. Panic attacks, social disorders, specific phobias, post traumatic stress syndrome are types of anxiety commonly known. Psychological predisposition and environmental stresses are the types of depressions. All these symptoms can cause dangerous diseases in the long run.

Anxiety and Depression can not be fully cured. But they can be only be treated with the help of medications and psychological treatments. Many therapies can also be brought out for the proper treatment of Anxiety and Depression. The medical practitioners are required to hold consultation sessions in order to understand the mental condition of the patient and then proceed to give appropriate medical aid.
